Digital Accessibility Steering Committee

Governance Update 

The long-term digital accessibility program will be overseen by a Digital Accessibility Steering Committee beginning in Summer 2025. This committee will be co-chaired by Jack Seuss, Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Tanyka M. Barber, Vice President for Institutional Equity and Chief Diversity Officer. The following individuals or representatives from the following areas will be included:

  • Dean’s Office of each college or School;
  • The Provost’s Office;
  • The Chief Human Resources Officer or designee;
  • The Assistant Vice President for Accessibility and Disability Services in DOIE; 
  • The Associate Vice President of Instructional Technology;
  • Faculty Senate Computer Policy Committee; and
  • The chair, or designee, of the Digital Accessibility workgroup.

The Digital Accessibility Steering Committee will meet at least once a semester and will at least once annually update the Provost’s Academic Leadership Team, President’s Cabinet, and IT Steering Committee on the progress made and any areas noted for improvement.
